The Plan.Net Group finished calendar year 2015 with a total turnover of 93.8 million Euros. With this the leading digital agency in Germany recorded an increase of 23.4 percent over the previous year. It managed a media volume worth 541 million Euros. The growth drivers in 2015 came particularly from Media and Performance, E-CRM, Content Marketing, and E-Commerce.

Munich, April 14th 2016 — The Plan.Net Group can look back with satisfaction on the last calendar year. A 23.4 percent increase in 2015 on its gross income brought it a total of EUR 93.8 million (2014: 76 million). In Germany, the Serviceplan Group's digital agency, which was established in 1997, reached EUR 83.1 million, representing an increase of 23.6 percent over the previous year (2014: 67.3 million). The Plan.Net Group's media volume also grew to 541 million Euros gross online spending in 2015 supervised by Plan.Net Media worldwide, 497 million of which was in Germany. This represents an increase of ten percent (2014: EUR 490 million total). Worldwide, currently more than 850 employees work for the Plan.Net Group, of which 793 are in Germany.

Last year, the agency group's core business, in the areas of creation, technology and media grew both nationally and internationally. They also continued to expand the service portfolio in 2015. Together with the Mediaplus Group, it founded a joint venture called Plan.Net Business Intelligence, the heart of which is a self-developed Big Data platform for consolidating and organizing investment and performance data in marketing and sales. Also Plan.Net Content Marketing was started, an agency that provides end-to-end solutions in the field of content marketing, from strategy development through the creation of editorial content to more precise targeting and performance measurement. Both start-ups have emerged from successful existing business areas within the Plan.Net Group.

The positive result was mainly achieved by winning new client budgets such as Bosch Home Appliances, Crocs, Eurowings, Hornbach and Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket, as well as the expansion of business with existing customers. Customers Lufthansa and ZDF, for example, have increased their cooperations with Plan.Net Connect. Moreover, Plan.Net Campaign won Deichmann as a new customer whilst Mediaplus and Plan.Net Media have long been responsible for the media planning of the shoe dealer. The growth drivers last year were particularly in the areas of Media and Performance, E-CRM, Content Marketing and E-Commerce.

Successful campaigns and work included the optical and technical revision of all the ZDF's digital activities in the field of E-CRM, the redesign of the service portal REPXPERT of Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket, the repositioning of REPXPERT as a service brand and the design of the anniversary website for Ricola's 75th birthday. In a creative collective, which consists, among others, of Serviceplan Campaign, Plan.Net Campaign and Buzzin Monkey, and in cooperation with the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in 2015 the music project "Iceberg songs" was created to raise awareness of the increase in problems caused by climate change. A special Plan.Net Group project is also "WhatsGerman", a German course for refugees on WhatsApp, which started in December 2015 and is already being used by more than 120,000 people.

Strengthening our core competencies and the continuous expansion of our portfolio is the best foundation on which we can develop innovative solutions that make our customers' communications more effective. A particularly successful example of this is the virtual motorcycle test drive, 'Eye Ride', which we developed for BMW Motorcycles," says Manfred Klaus, Management Spokesman of the Plan.Net Group. The Virtual Reality Installation is available for interested BMW Motorcycle retailers and traders who can thus offer visitors a unique, realistic test drive experience with different models. Currently Eye Ride is touring numerous international locations of the Serviceplan Group. "The fact that we are on a successful way into the future is confirmed not only by the positive sales and growth figures, but also by the results in the BVDW rankings," said Manfred Klaus.

Top positions in sales and creative rankings

The performance of the agency was confirmed in 2015 by its top positions in the rankings of the Bundesverband Digitale Wirtschaft (BVDW). Firstly, the Plan.Net Group took the Internet Agency Rankings' top spot as the largest Internet agency in Germany. Secondly Plan.Net reached, together with Serviceplan, in 2015 first place in the premiere of the digital creation rankings. It recently defended this position when in February 2016 Serviceplan and Plan.Net were again awarded the joint-title of best digital creative agency in Germany. In defending the top spot, works such as the ZDF banner mystery, "Instagram Takeover” for Swiss, the campaign "Heads up!" for the AOK and the road safety initiative "Watch out!" for O2 were decisive.

"Of course we are delighted to retain our leading position in the creative rankings. Based on this success, we would like to continue and expand our creative skills further. For that we are purposefully innovating, integrating new trends and then using them for the benefit of our customers, so as to develop truly relevant and thus successful communication solutions," said Markus Maczey who in January 2016 became the new Chief Creative Officer (CCO) of the Plan.Net Group and thus responsible for the creative output of the agency and further development of creative subjects and innovation.
